Georgetown City Fire, government officials and citizens held a groundbreaking ceremony March 21, 2017 at 2910 South Fraser Street for a state of the art new fire station. The site is well known as the Eagle Electric facility. Chief Charlie Cribb welcomed all that attended and thanked the community and former/current council members that have supported the effort. Coastal Structures received the contract on the single story, two bay, 8,400 square foot structure. All elected officials took up the gold shovels and broke ground.
